EQUATE Petrochemical Company has made a donation of $100,000 to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) to help the people in Philippines and Indonesia
who recently suffered the effects of several major natural disasters. KRCS said in a press release that EQUATE executive Mohammad Gharib Hatem presented a check during a visit to KRCS. Hatem said that this donation was given for the peoples of those countries affected by the recent natural disasters, adding that the KRCS would ensure that the aid was delivered to the intended beneficiaries without discrimination. For his part, Barjas Al-Barjas, the chairman of the KRCS, praised EQUATE's humanitarian gesture to help the needy, adding that the donation was simply the latest of a series of contributions made by the petrochemical firm to the KRCS, voicing a wish that other institutions and firms would also contribute to this humanitarian cause. - Kuwait Times
