Indian minister briefed with Kuwait''s contributions for human development |

Indian Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur praised on Wednesday the great efforts of Kuwait in supporting human development and mankind progress in friendly nations.
The Indian official made the remarks during her meeting here today with Kuwait's Ambassador to New Delhi, Sami Al Sulaiman. She underlined the deep-rooted ties linking Kuwait and India and the two countries' keenness on enhancement of bilateral relations in the service of mutual interests. For his part, Sulaiman said in statments to KUNA that his meeting with Kaur was part of routine talks with Indian government officials to review the march of the good relations between the two countries. He said the distinguished relations linking Kuwait and India were based on solid ground towards the launch of giant joint projects that would pour into the interest of the peoples of both countries. Sulaiman pointed out the admiration by the Indian minister vis-a-vis Kuwait's generous contributions in the support human development in friendly nations. The Kuwaiti diplomat said he briefed the Indian official on his country's voluntary contributions to achieve prosperity and human developments in poor countries, recalling the Fund for Decent Living initiated by His Highness the Amir of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah during the Arab Economic Summit which Kuwait hosted lately. He also briefed the Indian minister with the vital role played by the 46-years-old Kuwait development fund in lending easy loans to poor countries.
