Zain communication company has launched the "single network" service in Egypt as part of a strategic deal with Mobinil.
Zain's Managing Director and Board Chairman Saad Al-Barrak said in a press release on Wednesday that the new service would furnish clients with the capacity of using Zain's communication services during travel and across borders without any international fees. It gives 27 million clients, based in Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Kuwait the roaming patrol service. Mobinil's 24 million clients are given equal treatment in all the countries where Zain has operations. It allows paid and pre-paid clients to enjoy the service without additional fees. The clients will be able to make contacts, send and receive SMSs and use the internet for local fees of the visited country. They can also receive contacts from home, either free of charge or for minimum fees.
