Kuwaiti security official affirms necessity of resolving traffic problems |

Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry Lieutenant General Abdullatif Al-Rujaib on Tuesday stressed the need to address the issue of traffic to move forward and improve services in this sector.
Lieut. Gen. Al-Rujaib, who presided over a meeting of the Supreme Council today, said tackling traffic problems should be on the basis of a scientific-based approach and modern techniques, as well as examination of experience of other nations in addition to that of the GCC states. He affirmed support of the Ministry of Interior and all its agencies for the Supreme Traffic Council and its measures for resolving the traffic issue, which is primarily a social problem. Al-Rujaib reviewed with members of the council the agenda and previous achievements, affirming the necessity of seeking expertise of specialists for realizing the council's main objectives. He thanked all sectors in Kuwait and their constant support in coordination with the Ministry regarding traffic problems. The Meeting was attended by Undersecretary of Kuwait's Ministry of Public Works (MPW), Abdulaziz Al-Klaib, Ministry of Education Undersecretary Tamathir Al-Sidairawi, Director General of Municipality Ahmed Al-Subeih, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and Assistant Director-General of the General Administration of Traffic Gen.
