NBK university graduates first group |

National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) celebrated on Sunday the graduation of the first batch of employees enrolled at NBK University, after they passed the six months, intensive course.
Ibrahim Dabdoub, the NBK Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), praised during his speech delivered in this occasion, the efforts of the graduates during the past six month, wishing them the best during their preformance as employees in the Bank. Dabdoub, said that, the launch of NBK's university is considered to be the first initiative of its kind in the private sector in Kuwait, for training and qualifying national young cadres at the bank. This is part of the bank's strategy aimed to attract and rehabilitation and resettlement of national cadres. He added, that the is focusing on the development of national young banking leaders and highly qualified in all disciplines to meet the advanced banking benefits dictated by the continuous upgrading of the services of the bank and growing steadily for its activities and expansion plans at both local and regional levels. Dabdoub clarified, that the vision of the senior management of the bank works into the sustainable development of resources and manpower at the forefront of their priorities as a strategic objective and a shared responsibility between the state, represented by its bodies and the private sector. Where they should shoulder its responsibilities and increase national contributions and efforts in the field of localization of jobs and building capacity through training of new leadership. The training program includes theoretical and practical skills for different disciplines of the banking industry, as they contain training materials and study of principles, banking and risk management, team work and self-assertion and financial accounting, marketing, negotiation and other topics. NBK had launched at the beginning of this year the initiative of NBK University, where the first session is consisted of 24 graduates, recruited in different departments of the bank, followed by the second batch which include nine new staff members. - Kuna
