Kuwaiti youth divers stun at Arab championship |

Kuwait dominated medal standings at an Arab youth diving tournament which ended here on Tuesday.
Kuwait's young divers earned 24 medals in the tournament held over a five-day period at the Shiekh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah Complex in Qadsiya Sports Club. The medals include 11 gold, seven silver and six bronze medals. Qatar came second on the medals table, with one gold, five silver and five bronze medals followed by Oman with one bronze, while Syria the fifth participant out of a total of five, left the competition empty-handed. Chief organizer Humoud Al-Hajeri expressed his pride over the huge achievement and the domination of Kuwaiti diving in the Gulf and in the Arab World. He also praised the athletes and the local swimming federation for their efforts in hauling in such a huge number of medals. - Kuna
