Interior Ministry confirms traffic rehearsal success |

Official spokesman of the Interior Ministry Colonel Mohammad Al-Saber on Tuesday affirmed success of the traffic rehersal conducted earlier today.
Ministry personnel and policemen closed some roads and diverted traffic, as part of the preparations to determine their readiness for the GCC Summit scheduled to be held here next week. Col. Al-Saber, in charge of the media unit, security and control of the GCC summit, said the success of the traffic measures' rehearsal was result of efforts of traffic affairs department, officers, individuals, as well as the cooperation of the citizens and expatriates. The scenario, carried out between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., was designed to measure motorists' abidance by the ministry instructions. Col. Al-Sabr indicated that the scenario was necessary and part of the security precautions to be taken to ensure safety of the senior guests, due to take part in the summit. - Kuna
